The Annual General Meeting was opened by President, Larry Moreland, who welcomed the members and thanked them for their tremendous efforts over the past season.
“In the 2022-2023 season, ALLIANCE Hockey began an overall review that we called our Reset. Many of you have been involved on Task Teams helping to piece the Reset together. Those of you who have provided your time and input on the Task Teams are helping to reshape how hockey will be delivered across all of the ALLIANCE,” stated President Moreland.
Along with the President’s address, recognition of the 2023 OHF Championship-winning teams was provided on behalf of Championship Committee Chair, Jennifer MacDonald to the following Associations:
• U15 A OHF Champions – London Jr. Knights Green
• U18 A OHF Champions – Woodstock Jr. Navy Vets
The Executive Director’s Report focused on the achievements and challenges experienced over the 2022-23 season. The Report also noted the direction that the organization will follow in the coming seasons and the associated work involved to ensure the intended path is followed.
Regional and Committee Reports and Amendments were also provided throughout the Meeting which concluded with the introduction of the 2023-2024 Executive Committee.

With the introduction of the new Executive Committee Members, ALLIANCE Hockey said goodbye to those who completed their terms of service.

ALLIANCE Hockey was thrilled to have special guest and Hockey Equality Chairman, Anthony Stewart in attendance at the evening reception who provided important messaging that included a focus on inclusion and diversity. Stewart reiterated that equality in hockey doesn’t begin with one person. There are numerous people who give, volunteer and act in their communities to make hockey an inclusive sport for all but there is still much work to be done.
ALLIANCE Hockey is committed to ensuring that there is diversity and inclusion in hockey and is grateful to Anthony for providing important information and guidance for our members.
